The intake: mapping out your story together
The intake is your first real conversation at AndersGGZ. Not an interrogation or a test you have to pass, but a calm conversation in which we get clear together what is going on. We first listen to you, in your own words and your own language, and only after that look at diagnoses and forms of treatment.
- An appointment letter with date, time and login code
- A conversation in which your story is central
- Problem analysis within your own context
- A fixed lead practitioner as your contact
- In your language, and with your loved ones if you wish
What is the intake?
During the intake and problem analysis we map out your complaints, your background and your goals together. We want to understand who you are and what is going on, before we classify or name anything.
It is the beginning of a collaboration. What you find important helps determine the direction.
How do I prepare?
You receive an appointment letter beforehand with date, time and a login code for our secure environment. Otherwise you do not have to prepare or substantiate anything.
It helps if you think about what you would like to change or achieve, but if you do not have that clear yet, that is completely fine too. We will find out together.
How does the conversation go?
We discuss your complaints and how they affect your life, your background and the context in which you live. We reflect on what has or has not helped before and on what is important to you.
You decide yourself how much and what you share. We go at your pace.
Who do I speak with, and in which language?
You get a fixed lead practitioner who becomes your central point of contact for the whole process. Our team treats in many languages, including Dutch, English, Arabic, Farsi, Turkish and French.
Indicate your preferred language when you apply, and we take it into account. Where it helps, we also involve your loved ones in the conversation.
And after the intake?
After the intake we draw up a treatment advice and a treatment plan together with you. That is the next step, in which we set down which treatment fits and how we follow progress.
