About us

Mental health care with a social mission

AndersGGZ exists for people who don't always feel seen by traditional systems of care. For the person behind the symptoms, the file, the referral, the waiting list, the language barrier or the shame.

Our story

'Different' is not a problem to be solved

We believe that mental health care shouldn't start with the question of whether someone fits into a system. It should start by making someone feel safe enough to be honest.

Our role is to make care more human, more accessible and more respectful. That means meeting people with openness, without assumptions and without judgement, and understanding that mental health is never separate from someone's story, family, social reality, migration experience, identity or life circumstances.

At AndersGGZ, 'different' is not a problem to be solved. It is a reality to be understood. You don't have to become someone else to be helped here.

Our history

From TCP Nederland to AndersGGZ.nl

2024

The start as TCP Nederland

Our organisation arises from one conviction: everyone deserves an equal chance at good mental health care, regardless of origin, migration history or faith. We build transcultural psychiatry with an eye for different worlds.

2025

Growth and depth

We grow to over 700 clients and a multidisciplinary team that treats in many languages. The demand for culturally sensitive care proves great, and our approach works.

2026

Onwards as AndersGGZ.nl

As of 1 January 2026 we continue under the name AndersGGZ.nl. A big step that made us more professional, with a name that better fits our identity, and that makes our organisation future-proof, without letting go of our mission.

BM

Bouchra M'rabet

Founder & nurse specialist

AndersGGZ was founded by Bouchra M'rabet. As a woman with a migration background, she knows both sides of the desk: that of the care provider and that of someone who had to find her way in a system not always designed for her world.

That experience forms the heart of AndersGGZ. Bouchra works tirelessly for the community, far beyond what her role requires: involved, accessible and always with the person first. Her conviction, that good care begins with understanding and equality, has become the standard by which we measure our work.

Our vision

Diversity calls for different care

Diversity in our society has grown strongly, while the gap between the professional care system and clients' worlds is widening. Too often treatment fails because too little account is taken of different worlds, especially when a 'we-culture' clashes with a care system focused on the individual.

Our mission

Understand first, then treat

We assume that the meaning of psychological symptoms must first be known in someone's own context. Our practitioners combine professional knowledge with experience in diverse cultures and languages, and guide you through professional interpretation without overlooking your cultural values.
